What is Samplifi?
Over 5% of the world’s population suffers hearing loss of some degree. That’s over a billion people, many of whom are musicians. Furthermore, most hearing assistive technology focuses on speech, not music.
We’re changing that.
Samplifi is a project aimed at combining a series of classical digital signal processing techniques with advanced machine learning to help those with hearing impairments better orient themselves within a piece of music.
Samplifi is working against the exclusion of hearing impaired musicians from their own livelihood. By designing technology that focuses on music, and provides what musicians need to hear, we hope to bring down the barriers faced by hearing impaired musicians that keep them from participating in music.
